Create a post card as if you are visiting a mining site in North Carolina in the 1830's-40's.
Include what you have learned, seen or experienced in narrative form.
You will import digital pictures for your post card.

Activity #2
Historical Plaque-
Create a digital historical plaque for a "Mine" found in North Carolina.
Include the following in your plaque:
  • Site Name
  • Site Significance
  • Important Dates
  • Other Facts
The plaque should be interactive, containing at least one photo, a fact and a sound.
Be sure to document your sites.
Example of mines to use: Reed Gold Mine, Betchlers Mint, Emerald Hollow, Sheffield Mine, Thermal City, and Rose Creek

Create a Cube:
Gold Mining in North Carolina had a great impact on our history, economy, and use of natural resources.
Create a cube about this time period (1830-1840's) in North Carolina.
  • You will make a power point slide show with SIX slides.
  • Format each slide to 5.8 X 5.8
  • Add color and graphics to each slide
  • I will give you the box to finish your project
